As a stand-alone solution, the GPS-Buddy CONNECT transmits real-time information, so you know where your vehicle is at any given moment. The information provided consists of accurate start and stop times, the route taken, distances travelled and much more. Combined with a Garmin portable navigation unit the CONNECT expands into a two-way communication system. Now you can communicate with the driver 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week. Similar to text-messaging, drivers may use their Garmin's touch screen keyboard to send a message or record notes about their location. Besides sending messages, you can forward new locations to drivers, instantly translated into turn-by-turn, voice-prompted directions to the new destination.
